A friend gave me bag of coins.
I homeschool my youngest and we used the Hope Coins as a lesson about kindness and spreading hope. He came up with ideas on his own and together we completed the random acts of kindness. He wanted to be sure to do something special for our local police officers so he put hot chocolate with marshmallows, candy canes, prayer card, hand written card thanking them for their service and 2 hope coins to pass along. He made one bag for the Day Shift Squad and one for the Night Shift Squad. It was great to see him have so much fun and be so creative. It's a beautiful lesson that kindness and hope does not have to cost money.
