Your Hope Coin's Ripple Journey

As soon as I learned about the Hands For Hope Challenge I was excited to make some differences in other people's lives.  My first choice for a coin was easy.

An old friend and former guitarist from my band was stricken with Parkinson's disease at 50.  I haven't seen him in years and he's now in his 60's, lives alone and suffers from chronic pain and tremors. Unfortunately, he has no immediate family to help him either.

My husband and I packed up a box of groceries, other necessities and presents and brought them to him.  We spent the day talking, laughing and listening to old band music.  

Our friend told us "I haven't had a birthday or other holidays this year, but what you've done has made this an unforgettable Christmas!    I love you guys!"

I write this through tears of sadness because of the suffering of a wonderful man and also tears of gratitude for all of the blessings in my life!
